These will be between 1.5 and 2.25 inches with most of them being 2 inches. Red Melon Discus are often mostly yellow-orangish as juveniles and many are not showing much, if any of the light colored face or the red-orange body yet. They will start putting on some of the red body coloration at around 3 inches and will not have full red coloration with a white face until mature at around 5-6 inches. As juveniles, they can have different facial coloration varying from a pale orange, to completely white to a pale yellow. Red Melon Discus are derived from the Pigeon Blood strain. The picture is of a mature adult. Juvenile coloration and pattern will vary. We are always willing to try and sex our fish for a customer, but we do not guarantee it. All Discus are unique and the mature coloration/pattern of each can vary.
