These do have some orange coloration on the head and-or body as juveniles. It will slowly increase in brightness and intensity as they mature. All Koi Angelfish have some random black coloration and the amount-coverage of the black coloration will vary significantly. We are always willing to try and sex our fish for a customer, but we do not guarantee it. All Angelfish are unique and the coloration/pattern of each can vary. Small Angelfish have a body size, without the fins, of around the size of a dime.
