I ordered a pair as part of a 10 discus order. Both arrived healthy, and had fins erect and looking for food within a couple of hours of acclimating to their new tank. Their sizes were correct, both in the 2.5-2.75 inch range. As juvies, after a few weeks acclimating to their new environment (75 gallon heavily planted tank with CO2 injection at 2bps, RODI water with Discus Trace added, 84 degrees constant +/- one degree, 6.5 pH, _50 tds, _40 μs, 50% water changes weekly and zero ammonia, nitrites and nitrates), ...
I ordered three to accompany an order of 10 discus. They arrived healthy and alert, shooting all over the tank like little missiles, freaking out the ghost shrimp. After 24 hours they are schooled up and doing their thing, cleaning up what the 10 discus leave...even seeing them dart up to the surface to try and snatch a freeze dried blood worm before the discus get them all. All three are about an inch in length. I will probably be adding more with my next discus order, as there is no way these three can keep up with the ten ...
I ordered a pair as part of a 10 discus order. Both arrived healthy, and had fins erect and looking for food within a couple of hours of acclimating to their new tank. After 24 hours they are both eating like little pigs. I say little, but one of the two is in the 3.25-3.50 inch range and the other approaches three inches, so an exceptionally good bargain for a fish priced below $20! Even as juveniles they are showing brilliant yellow faces and red melon bodies, while their dorsal, anal and tail fins exhibit brilliant reds to black, not ...
I ordered a pair as part of a 10 discus order. Both arrived healthy, and had fins erect and looking around within a couple of hours of acclimating to their new tank. After 24 hours the larger of the two is eating like little pig. The other is still very shy, hiding in the planted aquarium but apparently picking off rotifers and other organisms off the leaves of the plants rather than joining the others in their "feeding frenzies". Their sizes were correct, both in the 2.25-2.5 inch range, and the largest of the two can only be described as ...
I ordered a pair as part of a 10 discus order. Both arrived healthy, and had fins erect and looking for food within a couple of hours of acclimating to their new tank. After 24 hours they are both eating like little pigs. Their sizes were correct, both in the 2.0-2.5 inch range. As an interesting aside though, these two fish were twice as expensive as the other eight and the smallest of the lot. As juveniles, they are still an almost florescent ice blue, and even though the smallest two fish in the tank, the lager of the two ...
I ordered a pair as part of a 10 discus order. Both arrived healthy, and had fins erect and looking for food within a couple of hours of acclimating to their new tank. Their sizes were correct, both in the 2.5-2.75 inch range. As juveniles, the smallest is showing the typical stress bars, the larger not, and I would describe both as a velvet, dark rust red to reddish-brown, with hints of orange in the face and in front of the tail. After 24 hours, the smallest is the "pig" of the 10...racing to get anything ahead of even the ...
