Red Melon Discus Fish - 2 inch

I ordered a pair as part of a 10 discus order. Both arrived healthy, and had fins erect and looking for food within a couple of hours of acclimating to their new tank. After 24 hours they are both eating like little pigs. I say little, but one of the two is in the 3.25-3.50 inch range and the other approaches three inches, so an exceptionally good bargain for a fish priced below $20! Even as juveniles they are showing brilliant yellow faces and red melon bodies, while their dorsal, anal and tail fins exhibit brilliant reds to black, not standard for the strain, but beautiful none the less. The larger of the two is not a solid melon in the body, either, exhibiting quite a bit of yellow, with a dark red "heart" behind the caudal fins on both sides of the body, which is kind of unique. The smaller of the two is a classic Red Melon, and already absolutely gorgeous. All in all, well please with the size and obvious health of the fish.
