As juveniles, these look much like a regular Jack Dempsey. When mature, these are much more colorful than your normal Jack Dempsey.
The Galaxy Jack Dempsey is semi aggressive and can be kept with a wide range of other fish. They cannot be kept with discus. They can also be kept with aggressive Cichlids as long as there are plenty of hiding places. They are not shy and will stay at the very front of your tank most of the time.
They are very hardy and will tolerate a wide range of conditions. They do well at a temp of 74 to 86 degrees and a Ph of 6.5 to 7.3. They will eat just about anything and love to eat out of your hand.
